As 2024 came to a close, so to ended a long period of preparations. As 2025 began, the Time-Travelers were ready, and Missions awaited them. A mysterious group, The Agency, had chosen them to travel time and protect the welfare of humanity.

Character names with the asterisk * indicate a duplicate that is not on the Archline of time; they are part of the Off-line Instant. It will be these characters that carry out the Translocation missions.

Terms

Existence: the progress of time and all things from past to present and into the future.

Instants: Places at different points in time that move through existence in synchronization. Within existence is a prime line called the Archline. Time propagates through existence like a wave. Instants not on the Archline are considered to be Off-Line Instants.

Instants are created with each vernal equinox. Instants 8 years apart are Corresponding Instants and are linked.

Off-Line Instants: Events in Off-Line Instant do not necessarily correspond to nor do they directly affect events on the Archline. Could be considered alternate versions of existence.

Leading Edge Instant: the Instant that is furthest forward in time/existence; the "now" Instant. A Moment in the Leading Edge Instant would be a Leading Edge Moment.

Moments: a collective term for a group of people existing in a given Instant. Moments are known by their location in the universe and the date of the Instant they are in and their relationship to the Archline. 

The Leading Edge Brooklyn Moment would be a group of people associated with Brooklyn that are on the Archline and at the "now" point in history. 

The 1985 Off-Line Brooklyn Moment would be a group of people in the 1985 Instant that are off the Archline (hence, lagging behind the Leading Edge) who live in Brooklyn. 

Time Travelers: individuals who were born exactly on the autumnal or vernal equinox. In many cases, Time Travelers have exact duplicates that exist in different Instants. Duplicates in corresponding Instants can have their memories merge.

In other words…

 • Time flows like waves propagating through a canal (see diagram).

• There is a primary line of time called the Archline.

• Any point in the canal is called an Instant.

• Any 2 Instants that are 8 years apart are linked. (Corresponding Instants.)

• Groups of Time-Travelers in an Instant are called Moments.

• Instants that are “off-line” from the Archline lag behind.

• There are duplicate versions of some people in some Corresponding Instants. 

• Duplicate Time-Travelers in Corresponding Instants have merged memories.
