I’m heading to work shortly but wanted to check in. The Time-Travel mission we were a part of kept us from work on Thursday and Friday. Before that were holidays, eves and all that, today is going to be my first real day of work in a while. Honestly I’m looking forward to it.
Hannah in Virginia Beach called back last night. She said she wanted to apologize for complaining. I told her it was fair to be unsettled. She replied that, looking around at her present life, all the changes must have led to it so she figured it all would work out. She added that they figured anything that did change wouldn’t be noticed so there was no reason to be upset.
Her mention of the 1881 group preparing to move to New York stirred my memory and there it was. As it's been said, the memories of the other Moments merge with ours when we’re sleeping so they aren’t up to the minute—they are at least a day behind. That said, based on the last few days in Memphis, the us from (now) 1881 are busy “packing this and selling that” as Emma described it.
And it was our discussion of Jacob and Liza’s research that set the move in motion. The Jacob and Addison from 1881 are moving too, thinking they will find jobs when they get here, just like the others. They felt like, as part of what Paul calls Focus missions, they should be with the others.
I know this will sound odd, but I feel a little settled. With Paul around to explain things, it helps. Will and Tom still get messages from The Agency and pass the on to us, but Paul says he’ll be looped in shortly after so he can make preparations. But going forward, we know that we’ll usually just need to chill out and support the mission—however that works.
By the way, he was very impressed with Emma’s idea that we can do research and study things for the Mission team. That will be an on-going procedure, he says.
Okay… I need to drink this coffee and get to the subway. Thanks for reading this.
