2025-01-11 “Good Questions” by Emma (born 1861)

I was looking at how @ailana.geven starts her diary posts on Instagram, and thought maybe I oughta try something like it today.

Good morning readers! Thank you for checking out my post. I got three things on my mind today.

First off, the Translocation Mission yesterday wuddn’t very long at all. Me, Merritt, Hannah, and Kent got up some snacks and sodas, an’ we settled down in the common area. Then the feeling hit us where we were sort of in a daze. Not an hour later, it was done.

Paul come by to check on us, and it was done. He was surprised, but he said they already had him rent a motel room for us for three nights for whatever’s coming up later this week.

We don’t know what happened yesterday, yet. We figure the memories will merge tonight when we sleep, on account of it’s not automatic.

Now, the other two things I wanna talk about are related. Me and Hannah talked a lot about her talking to Virginia Beach Hannah and me talking to that woman, Rebecca Flint. The more we think on it, the more we think they have good questions.

The Agency didn’t ask us to do this. Just on the reason something about being born on the equinox made duplicates of us in at least 4 places in time, we got forced to be Time Travelers. For months, my whole life was all mixed up, what with me not knowing about 2024 at all. It was forced on us, and there’s something about that… The words that come to mind (I guess it’s from the version of me born in 2005) are “unsettling” and “unjust.”

Now, Rebecca Flint made another good point. If they was gonna merge our memories anyway, why did we shift in the first place? The only thing I can see is that in July me and Merritt stuck with each other ‘cause we were both shifted, but if the 2005 me and the 2000 him met up in Omaha, who’s to say the same thing wouldn’t have happened?

So, that’s what’s on my mind this morning. Questions. I don’t have any answers, though.

Thanks for reading this. I really ‘preciate it.
