2024-12-19 “Whatever Comes” by Emma (born 1861)

I’m sitting here just thinking about things. I guess you know I do that a lot.

Since July 4, I’ve had a lot to think about, to tell the truth. A lot has happened and, if Emma in Virginia remembers right, on Dec 21, we’re gonna find out about more changes coming soon.

I know it’s been hard on Merritt, too. The other of us Time-Travelers were born in this time naturally, but shifting around and getting memories from the other versions isn’t easy on them. But, Merritt said it was probably hardest on me, on account I didn’t even know what ‘lectricity was.

Well, things are getting better for a lot of reasons. I know a lot’s about to happen, but I feel like I can make it.

College don’t scare me as much, now that I’ve started discovering memories from the Emmas born in 1965 and 2005. Hannah says I’ve already started talking different. Differently. 

Becomin’ a woman in the years to come feels like it will be easier with Emma in Virginia to talk to. In a sense, I took over her life! And her memories up to almost Christmas 1984 are mixing with mine, same as the other Time-Travelers. I’m really glad we found them and that I can call her and talk.

One thing sure to come up is me being with Merritt. That’s about the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Emma said the same thing, too.

We don’t know ‘xactly what being Time-Travelers will be like, but I believe I can do it, whatever comes along. I’ve got good friends, and a special man to stand with me. To say the truth, it’s a little exciting. I think if we all stick together, we can do whatever we have to do.
