Sorry about my picture. I forgot to smile nice, but I ain’t sad or nothing. I just got in a hurry. Granny used to say being in a hurry is the fast way to do somethin’ wrong.
Well, I wanted to clear up something from Sunday ‘bout the ‘parmtents Tom’s making. I said they was over the theater, but that make is sound like they are as big as the whole department store. They ain’t.
They are just regular size apartments. There’ll be a door off the sidewalk up some stairs to a common area. Tom made out it would be like a little lobby where we could put sofas and maybe a TV to share. Then, the three apartments open off that little lobby.
The middle of the 2nd floor over the theater will be storage, but Tom has to finish it out for the insurance company to be happy. An’ he’s making another apartment on the far side for himself. If you look at the theater from the street, our three apartments will be on the left. We’ll all have keys to the street door, and all that sort of thing.
Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up.
I have a show at night, tonight, so I’m just looking at YouTube and Googgling this and that.
I done had a shower, but I put my dressing gown back on just for no real reason. I ain’t said much about showering and bathing in 2024, but it sure is different than 1880. Folk in 2024, least here in Brooklyn, take a lot of stock in being warshed up. If Granny knew I took a warshing ever’ day—and more than once a day if I wanna—an’ about the hot water just coming outta the spigot… Well, she’d be speechless, ‘cause there jus’ wudn’t nothing to compare.
I guess you see I didn’t say nothing about Merritt or Devon or Hannah and that elephant in the room. I’m just going on the idea that if it’s meant to be it will.
All the same, I made a point to send Merrit a Snap and asked if he was still coming to walk me home from the theater. He snapped right back to say yes.
