2024-08-18 “Not A Problem” by Hannah

It’s likely that you’ve already seen Merritt’s post from earlier at the beach. If you read past all that stuff about Devon you might have caught his last sentence:

“Man… A part of me today is wishing Emma wasn’t so set against us being a couple…”

You might think that puts a damper on my idea of getting to know him better, possibly working things out for the long term. I, however, don’t think it’s a problem.

I’ve talked to both him and Emma, and they both say they are not considering each other romantically. So, what about his statement, then?

All it means to me is that he’s a man. I’d wager if he spent the day with me wearing a skimpy sundress and a bikini, he’d have the exact same thoughts.

Which means one thing… I’ll save the words, since Instagram has a limit!

Goal setting 101—goals need to be attainable. My goal of investigating a long-term relationship with Merritt is very attainable, if you ask me. It’s reasonable to think it could work. It’s not complicated by other factors.

Working toward a goal, you need to keep it in view. You need to have some level of focus on your goal.

So… here’s where I open the door to be called a wack-job, but, I bought a digital picture frame. Instagram makes downloading pictures tough, but Blogger doesn’t.

So, until I decide if he’s worth my time, I’ll be having a look at Merritt frequently.

Cart before the horse? Maybe…

But… even while he was with Emma, he called me. That has to mean something, right? He was with a beautiful girl he knows well and who’s on his mind? The coworker.

It’s a start.

I’m going back to the theater tomorrow to officially start taking measurements. Emma works daytime, so I texted her to see if we could do lunch. She’s a keeper kind of girl. Worst case in this scenario, I end up with a girl friend (the space is important there) and have to look for a boyfriend elsewhere.
