FUN WORK—I gotta say it. Ailana @ailana.geven and a man named @king_james_ai James King… They sure worked hard making this festival.

An’ they got all kinds o’ people helping out. Some here at the beach. Some, like a man named @acservices19999 Andy who's off working on houses. An’ I think about anybo… anyone could do something.

I been trying. Right now, I’m taking trash in this plastic bag to… you know what it is—a dumpster. It’s helping, and any…one could do it.

I tell you… plastic an’ metal ever’where I look, but I guess that’s what being in 2024 is like.

I wanna tell you something earlier, though. I got confused and frustrated and had to fight back my tears, like happens sometimes.

Off to the side of the festival, there’s a place with all these big trucks that are really kitchens inside and they sell food right out the windows. My folks back in 1880… they’d just not believe what I’m seeing. But that ain’t what… That’s not what got me worked up.

So me and a woman named Geoni, we were s’posed to get these folded up chairs off a different kind o’ truck and put them around these table that had done been unfolded. They are made o’ plastic, like @merritt_gray Merritt’s money card, only harder.

Well, the chairs were strapped up by fives, and they had another kind o’ plastic around ‘em so they was… So they were easy to carry. Geoni grabbed a bundle and took ‘em to the table, then she just ripped off the plastic around ‘em and so I played along and did the same.

“Cept I couldn’t tear that strapping plastic. Geoni came back with another stack and ripped it right off. She came back with a third bundle, then saw me getting all teary and frustrated.

“So…” Geoni said, “…it’s not supposed to tear, but you can poke your finger through it pretty easily. Then, the whole will be easy to rip.”

I watched her and then tried it. Sure enough… Just sometimes it’s knowing a little thing what makes something easy.

So, anyway, I’m working, but it ain’t like sharecropper working. This is fun work.

And also, nobody has made much of me being nearly necked in this bikini, so I guess that’s okay, too.
