Kent and I met after lunch today at the apartments. That common room Tom added is so perfect for everyone’s friendships, it’s difficult to find a reason not to meet there and hang out.
But, we did decide to get a late lunch / early dinner out. We walked a few blocks to a little Italian place. Dinner was great.
So was Kent. So far, this whole thing with him has been simple, fun, and very, very comfortable.
Thus, a day into “it” whatever “it” is, everything is great. Except…
Somehow Kent has never seen the Lord of the Rings movies! Seriously? That must change, and fortunately for him, one of the stations is running a director’s cut marathon tomorrow night. I talked Emma and Merritt into joining us for the back-to-back showings. Merritt has read the books. It will be all new for Emma.
With that, I can take out the “except” from my claim about things with Kent.
Tomorrow should be a great day. We’ll all go to Shay’s for Thanksgiving and the afternoon. Then, back to the apartment for the movies. Kent is packing a bag and will crash in one of the dorm rooms once the marathon is over, then, everyone will regroup for Friday.
Please note: We will NOT be trying to go to any stores on Black Friday. It will be chilling and passing time together.
Well, to close this out, I’ll return to my relationship update. So far, so good. This could work.
