I know this could be confusing, so let me say this to get started. I’m the Emma born in 1965 that has been living in 1880 after shifting time in 1984, but I am now in 2024. This means that I am still not in my own time. Yesterday, me and 7 others shifted into 2024. I’m not going to try and explain all the who and whens. I will say some of the swaps have been… interesting!
Tom and Will received more texts. Basically, us now in 2024 are just supposed to get to know each other. Those now in 1880 have something to do. They all met each other before the shift.
I am writing on Emma-1861’s Instagram.
(So, Merritt, Hannah and I think it’s best to refer to people by name and birth year instead of the year they are living in since it seems like we have swapped and will swap back soon.)
I also have read all the IG posts. Then I found out about Blogger and re-read some of them.
Emma-1861… Sweetie, I love how you handled all this! You shifted into the Emma-2005’s world, and you have been a champ. Now, let’s talk wardrobe…
From 1984 where I belong to 2024… Okay, why are girls showing belly buttons so much? Why don’t tops come to the pants? I am reminded of what we called tube-tops!
From the posts, it seems Emma-1861 got a backpack that had no bras in it. Since then, buying bras seems to have not been a priority. And from what I can tell, no one cares, or if they do, they aren’t saying so. In 1984, going braless was for being at home, no matter how petite a girl was. Spaghetti strap sundresses had bras built in (maybe they still do)?
I don’t know where I’m going with this, so I’ll stop.
Emma-1861’s apartment is pretty spartan, to be honest. From the posts, it looks like she just mostly sleeps here, so it makes sense. BUT, compared to Merritt’s house in 1880 Memphis, this place is a luxury palace.
So, I guess I should close out. As Emma-1861 says, thanks for reading my story.
