Today in Brooklyn, the weather was sort of unpleasant. Gray skies and temps in the 60s°F (Mid-teens Celsius). We essentially just hung out.
Devon and Hannah talked a good bit about work. Hannah is starting a new project here in Brooklyn tomorrow; she’ll meet with the client doing what Will calls “first contact” to see what they want. Since this is completely new, he wants Devon to shadow her all throughout the process, so he can learn how a project goes from first step to last. He’ll end up shadowing the engineer who ends up heading the work, but will get to go on site whenever that is called for.
After hanging out around the apartments most of the day, we decided to go out to dinner. We had barely decided where to go when Addison called me. I passed her off to Emma and Addison asked if she could come.
Hannah wanted me to say that she invited herself.
We all went out to dinner and it was really quite fun. There were a lot of laughs. Devon has an easy-going way about him and he’s got a great sense of humor. Addison played off his banter like they had rehearsed parts for a play. All things aside, truth be told, she’s a good actress and could probably make a few bucks doing stand-up comedy.
After dinner, Addison called Uber and Devon and I walked the girls back to the apartments. About halfway home, something happened with men and Hannah. As we walked along (in engineering terms) the period at which our arms were swinging became equal. That’s to say our arms swung in unison. And when our hands bumped into each other for the second time, I took her hand into mine.
I guess Devon and Emma noticed; they also joined hands half a block further along.
So, we held hands. I guess we need to plan a double wedding now.
