2024-08-31 “Cloudbathing” by Hannah

It’s like sunbathing, but without the sun.

Before I say anything else, I should say that we conscripted Devon into the not-reading-posts covenant. He conceded that it would allow the stories to be more honest and interesting.

Speaking of honesty.

I told Emma we should make the boys go to the beach with us to sunbathe just so we could wear our bikinis to… shall we say attract their interest. Emma was only a little keen on the idea, but she went along.

The guys put on trunks and they both even dared the water. It’s only 78°F / 25°C, and it’s cloudy. Then, we got a little passing drizzle which got Emma and me laughing.

So, I have to say that I have never had a girl friend that I feel as close to in so short a period of time. Possibly none, whatsoever regardless of how long I knew them. The connection Merritt calls metaphysical is strong, and Emma told me she feels really close to me, as well. We talked about our first impressions of each other (I read her remarks about being jealous before we agreed I’d not read posts) that came before the dream.

We decided that the metaphysics started then and the dream just kicked it into overdrive.

The rain didn’t last long, but it was a fun, silly little escapade.

Also, it must be noted that the goal of getting the boys to notice us seemed to have been successful. To what end? I’m not sure.

Also, it is supposed to clear up Monday afternoon, so we’ll dry the bikinis and see what happens then!
