Today was rough at work. I went to a site to deliver some documents that had to be posted according to code, but as soon as I got there the foreman approached. Will was on the phone, they had a problem, and I was supposed to be the solution.
It sounded a lot worse than it turned out to be, but there was a good long period of confusion followed by crawling around under dirty old stairs.
In short, the existing stairs went up floor by floor making 90° turns at each landing leaving an attractive opening in the middle. The re-engineering of the site caused the building inspector to deem them too narrow, so they have to be rebuilt wider without the opening, making 180° turns at each landing.
The whole day went like that, making a hot refreshing shower seem more than necessary.
But, I did get a little surprise. Just after I put my boxers on and was about to go to the bedroom, I got a kinda cool Snap from Hannah. She just wanted to say she was thinking about me and said she’d check in over the weekend to make sure I was okay.
I thought what she said and the picture she sent were pretty nice.
